Weather Photographer of the Year 2022 Winners Announced
The Royal Meteorological Society has announced the 2022 winners of its popular, annual Weather Photographer of the Year competition in association with AccuWeather. Christopher Ison’s dramatic photo, ‘Storm Eunice’, taken in Newhaven in the UK last year, has taken the title prize. The photograph led a celebration of talented photographers of all ages from all around the world, capturing weather and climate in their most vivid forms. He is a native Chamorro from Mongmong, Guam and writes about themes such as Pacific life, immigration, ancestry, colonialism, and diaspora. This poem “is a variant of Pablo Neruda’s famous love sonnet XVII, in which he uses the natural world as a metaphor to describe love. iPhone 14 Pro Camera Preview: The Hardware Changes via Halide
I was thrilled to review iPhone App developer Sebastiaan de With of Halide App’s camera preview on the brand new Apple iPhone 14 Pro camera. We mentioned Hailide Mark II in our Best Mobile Photography Apps (2026 Edition) “The Wide camera sees the greatest changes“, he reports. “The lens gets a bit wider, a 2mm focal length difference.
