Number 74 Tranquil Vale, Blackheath, SE3 was where I found myself yesterday afternoon and it was not only an escape from the blazing sun. I squelched down into the well worn leather armchair and faded into a another world, a world of tranquility. A world that includes old and rare books, maps, art and furniture, just opposite Blackheath common. It’s a world of bookworm heaven, colloquially known as ‘the best bookshop in London’. Curiosities are paraded in the window displays, with tooled leather bindings, caches of rare treasures. The shop flatters every good taste with rarities on open shelves. She is poet laureate of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and the state of Wisconsin, is the author of Life in Short (Boswell Book Company, 2020) and an Arts Envoy for the U.S. Embassy. In 2021, Hamilton received an Academy of American Poets Laureate Fellowship to create a Milwaukee Youth Poet Laureate program and position, which will be an immersive and divergent approach to youth dialogue, leadership, and literary arts. Global consumer spending on Apps reached $32.5B in Q1 ’22
A tradingPlatforms.com analysis concludes that In-app purchases across all niches raised $32.5B. This figure represents a 0.6% gain from the $32.3B that the sector raised in Q1 2021. Apple’s marketplace had the lion’s share of the revenues, more than doubling Google Play’s. The App Store grew its revenues to 21.8B, a 5.8% uptick based on year-on-year (YOY) terms. Meanwhile, Google Play recorded over $10.7 billion in consumer spending, which is a decline of about 8.5% from the $11.7B it raised in 2021.
