Many of you have already seen our new segment to our APPart column here at TheAppWhisperer, edited by Bobbi McMurry. Environmental Photographer of the Year 2015 – Last chance to enter!
The Atkins CIWEM Environmental Photographer of the Year competition is an international showcase for the very best in environmental photography and film. The competition is free to enter and offers an exhibition at the Royal Geographical Society and a total prize money of £8,000, including awards for young photographers, film and a solo show. The competition provides an opportunity for amateur and professional photographers of all ages to share images of environmental and social issues with international audiences, and to enhance our understanding of the causes, consequences and solutions to climate change and social inequality. Open, Youth and Mobile Phone winners revealed for 2015 Sony World Photography Awards, the world’s biggest photography competition
The Open and Youth winners along with the inaugural Mobile Phone winner of the world’s biggest photography competition, the Sony World Photography Awards, are announced today. Drawn from the four corners of the world and covering a huge range of subjects, the winning Open, Youth and Mobile Phone photographers were chosen from over 96,000 entries to the 2015 SonyWorld Photography Awards. TheAppWhisperer – APPart – ‘Infinite Challenge #1’ by Bobbi McMurry
Welcome to our APPart Infinite Challenge #1 results. This challenge was an attempt to illustrate how infinite the possible solutions are to any given image. Variations within the artist’s style, the applications used, the artist’s perceptions and intent are just some of the factors that influence the results. We asked the members of our Facebook group to choose one of two images provided by Stef LP as a starting point. From there, new photos could be added, and any app could be used.
