The brand spanking new iPad (4th gen) with Retina screen is now available to order. In the US for the Wi-Fi only model, prices range from $499 for 16 GB, $599 for 32 GB and $699 for 64 GB. For the Wi-F- + cellular models the prices are $629 for 16 GB, $729 for 32 GB and $829 for 64 GB. Shipping times for the Wi-Fi only models are currently showing as ‘delivers 11/12’. The Apple Store has been down for the past few hours while Apple readied it for orders of the iPad Mini. It is now up and running and you can place your order right now. At present, in the UK delivery is being shown as within 2 weeks for the 16 GB, both the 32 GB and 64 GB ‘delivers in most areas by 2 November’. AppsWorld – New Location – New Dates
As our regular readers will know, following our support and succesful coverage of AppsWorld London 2012, we have been asked once again to be Media Partners for Apps World North America 2013. The dates and venue for this event have now changed as the organisers have now managed to secure the Moscone Centre in San Fran, where Apple hold WWDC each year. The new dates are now 7-8th February 2013 and the venue is the Moscone Centre, San Francisco.

Facebook Paid $715 Million For Instagram
Facebook’s accountants have been busy and added up all the figures and stock and have confirmed that the final total purchase price of Instagram totals $715 million. According to thenextweb, ‘that figure was arrived at by adding the $300 million in cash that Facebook promised, and the price of 12 million vested shares of Class B common stock. This stock was given to “non-employee stockholders” – investors. Adding to the tally, Facebook has issued 11 million un-vested shares to Instagram’s employees, a pool that includes its founders.
