Mobile Photography & Art – Flickr/Instagram Group Showcase – 6 October 2019
One of the treatments I have commenced at hospital this week, is to take part in a six week course of Chi Kung and I’ve been practising it at home ever since, much to the amusement of those who I share my life with. Chi is considered to be the flow of energy through the universe. It is said to flow through channels in the human body and if blocked can lead to poor health. Chi kung involves performing movements that stimulate the flow of chi through the body. As such, it is often referred to as “meditation in motion”. You don’t need to be fit or athletic to do…

Mobile Photography & Art Saturday Poetry – ‘Self-Portrait with Weeping Woman’ by Deborah Paredez
This weeks Saturday Poetry, matched with mobile photography/art is entitled ‘Self-Portrait with Weeping Woman’ by Deborah Paredez. “There is so much horror these days, but there’s a long history of terror thrust into the lives of brown folks and a long history of women standing on the shore raging against it. Paredez received a PhD from Northwestern University.…

Building an Online Portfolio for Your Art: A Guide
An artist’s online portfolio is very much like their creative resume in the modern world and can open the door to earning an income as a result of their talent and passion. This should go without saying, but your portfolio should show your very best work in high quality images, i.e. without camera flash, odd backgrounds, shadows or poor lighting. Showcase work that tells visitors who you are as an artist…
