Apple Allowing Developers To Offer 50% Bulk Educational Discount

2010-09-15 / Comments Off on Apple Allowing Developers To Offer 50% Bulk Educational Discount

Well, Apple are dishing out the favors to app developers today, earlier they adapted the way iAd works, allowing developers to sell their apps directly from within an iAd and now they have updated their developer app sale agreement, giving developers the factility to offer their apps with 50% discount to educational institutions. If you’re a developer,…

iAd Now Allowing In-Ad App Purchases

2010-09-15 / Comments Off on iAd Now Allowing In-Ad App Purchases

Possibly due to low iAd fill rates, Apple has adapted the way iAd works allowing developers to sell their apps directly from within an iAd. So, basically you don’t need to select an iAd for an app and then go to the store, you will instead now get a pop-up menu asking you to confirm your purchase – just click on ‘ok’ and enter your iTunes password and the app will start downloading.

Apple Rejects VolumeSnap in Camera+ Update

2010-09-15 / Comments Off on Apple Rejects VolumeSnap in Camera+ Update

The popular Camera+ app has had its latest update rejected by Apple. The VolumeSnap feature, the update in question, would of allowed the use of the iPhone’s volume buttons to control the camera’s shutter. This seems like it would of been a useful feature to have in Camera+ – here’s Apple’s official reason for the rejection…..   Offically Rejected "Your application cannot be added to the App Store because it uses iPhone volume buttons in a non-standard way, potentially resulting in user confusion. Changing the behavior of iPhone external hardware buttons is a violation of the iPhone Developer Program License Agreement. Applications must adhere to the iPhone Human Interface Guidelines…

Apple Announces New iMacs And They Are Hot Hot Hot

2010-09-15 / Comments Off on Apple Announces New iMacs And They Are Hot Hot Hot

Wow, these look great and guess what you can do. Well, how about ordering a HDD AND an SSD for your 27 inch model. Sounds good to me, although it’s gonna set you back quite a bit, a 1TB HDD plus a 256GB SSD is a $750 CTO option, while the 2TB HDD in that combo makes it a $900 option. The other incredible feat is the increase of graphics of the top model 27 incher, now coming with an ATI Radeon HD 5750 discrete graphics with 1GB GDDR, that’s up from 512MB, as of my own model. The base model will set you back $1,199 and boasts a 21.5-inch…
