Will The iPhone 5 Look Like The Samsung Galaxy S II?
Looks like it will do to us, take a look at these drawings and images below that MacRumors has just posted. In July, a ‘purported design document’ of the iPhone 5 became believable enough for case manufacturers to start producing cases based on these measurements. Well, MacRumors decided to purchase some of these cases and measure them for themselves. This is what they discovered: "Our designer took measurements of this imaginary device using the dock port as a standard measurement and produced the document shown above. Based on that extrapolation, the iPhone 5 design should have had dimensions of 4.33" x 2.36", suggesting a shorter but only slightly wider design.…

New $99 iPhone 4 – Really?
Reuters are reporting that ‘Asian suppliers to Apple Inc have begun manufacturing a lower-priced version of its hot-selling iPhone 4 with a smaller 8 gigabyte flash drive, according to two people with knowledge of the matter’. Apple have been asked to comment and not surprisingly they have declined, as too have Samsung. Several analysts believe that a cheaper 8GB iPhone 4 could boost Apple’s sales in emerging markets. There have been other rumors in recent weeks that Apple are planning on discontinuing the iPhone 3GS, so if that’s true then this cheaper iPhone 4 could really clean up. And what of the incoming iPhone 5, well? We’re pretty sure that…

Apple iPhone 5 Official Announcement Due September 7, 2011
Looks like a date has been set, MacRumors reports, having seen the information on Japanese site, Kodawarisan (who went on to confirm that this information came from a ‘strong’ source), that the next expected media event will fall on September 7, 2011. With similar dates last year and the introduction of the iPod Touch, iPod Nano and iPod Shuffle models, this year we are expecting the announcement of the iPhone 5 as well as the official launch of iOS 5. Presumably if Apple do announce the iPhone 5 on September 7, we won’t be able to get our hands on them until October at the earliest – but whenever we…

Radical iPhone 5 Coming This August
Oh yes please Apple, make this. BGR is reporting that a radically new iPhone 5 is due to be announced this August and will be available for purchase several weeks later. We have heard it’s quite possible Apple will break tradition. According to our source, Apple may hold an event in the beginning or middle of August to announce the new iPhone, with availability to follow in the last week of August. We’re not sure if that means the iPod event will be moved up slightly, or if this will be an iPhone-specific event. Thisismynext reported earlier that the upcoming iPhone 5 would feature a new teardrop-shaped case design. The design below is a…
