NxtApp 4 Kids
The popular math number-sequencing game, NxtApp 4 Kids, originally released for iPhone and iPod touch is re-designed to run natively on the iPad. The iPhone and iPod touch version of NxtApp 4 kids was released two months ago, almost to the day, to much praise. Now with a single purchase, players of this popular app can experience it natively on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The universal update is free for those players who previously downloaded the app.
Developed universally for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, NxtApp 4 Kids has been gaining popularity since its launch in June 2011. Police Car ID
Black & Yellow Developers today are pleased to announce the launch of Police Car ID. University of Pittsburgh students Brian Yankello and Elliot Domagola are responsible for the development of the application. The whole process for Police Car ID has taken roughly one month. "My friend called me early one morning to tell me that he sold over 200 copies of his Yinzer app in one day. I remember after I hung up, I just sat in bed and knew I needed to think of a great app idea," said Brian. The next day, Brian Yankello called his friend Elliott Domagola, who has coded two iPhone apps of his own with an idea and less than one month later, the app was finished.

Formula MAX
Formula MAX is the iPhone app with a collection of over 1150+ Physics, Chemistry and Maths formulas, more formulas to be added constantly through updates. The app is designed with a view of user convenience in searching, locating & referring a formula. An iPad version of this app is in progress and will be available in app store shortly.
Word Wizard
Independent children’s app developer L’Escapadou is honored to announce today that Word Wizard was awarded "Editor’s Choice Award for Excellence in Design" in Children Technology Review 2011 August issue. Established in 1993, Children’s Technology Review is designed to keep parents, teachers and librarians up to date on the latest children’s interactive media products. Editor’s Choice Awards are given to only the highest quality children’s products in the interactive media category.
Children’s Media expert Warren Buckleitner reviewed the app, and declared that "this is a very important app, because it leverages both the powerful speech synthesis abilities of the iPad and the touch screen; so every letter becomes a block of sound that you can touch and hear, or place next to another word to see how they affect each other". The app earned 4.8 stars -out of 5- overall rating and 5 stars in educational, design features and good value ratings.
iQuikSplash
With iQuikSplash, while users can also draw an area in a photo to be splashed, they could also highlight the exact shades of colors selected manually while the rest is turned to black and white. Users can then adjust the amount of splashing required by a slider. This feature is unique to iQuikSplash and it is also the reason why the app was featured by Apple in New & Noteworthy section in over 69 countries including United States. It was even reviewed by the famous iPhone Photography blog, iPhoneography, and many more.
In the latest version release, a new feature has been added – selective contrast and brightness. Users can now adjust brightness and contrast of the selected area and black and white area independently. Although you can search recipes from the mygourmetrecipes database and use them in your collections the main idea behind the app is to create your own recipes. "I created the app because I could not find any app with the features I wanted to manage my own recipes." said Emil Nilimaa founder of Nilisoft. "There are thousands of apps for searching recipes, but none that I could find to manage my own recipes had the features I wanted, so why not make my own?"

Tilt And Sprout
This week Twiddly has released a significant update for their refreshing tilt-controlled action puzzler – Tilt & Sprout, a game where the goal is to guide sprouting plants from deep underground to bloom in the open air. The update adds 24 magic-themed new levels, bringing the overall total to 48, and introduces some new gameplay mechanics. In contrast to the lush green landscapes of the original levels, the new levels are themed around myths, magic and fairytales. Wolves, witches and dragons all make cameo appearances. The aim though is still to guide vulnerable plant shoots safely to the earth’s surface carefully avoiding all hazards on the way, but added into the mix are some brand new mechanics – mystical shortcuts and dangerous stone blocks that slide as the level is tilted.
