NxtApp 4 Kids


The popular math number-sequencing game, NxtApp 4 Kids, originally released for iPhone and iPod touch is re-designed to run natively on the iPad. The iPhone and iPod touch version of NxtApp 4 kids was released two months ago, almost to the day, to much praise. Now with a single purchase, players of this popular app can experience it natively on the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. The universal update is free for those players who previously downloaded the app.

Developed universally for the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad, NxtApp 4 Kids has been gaining popularity since its launch in June 2011. NxtApp 4 Kids was recently featured by Apple in the first spot as "New and Noteworthy" on iTunes for Kids and Educational games categories. The Washington Post describes NxtApp as "the perfect app for mental math."

The mobile platform developer SmartyShortz LLC, today announced the arrival of their newest App – Smarty Thank You for the iPad – to add to their series of apps currently in the App Store including: Smarty Shortz 1st Grade released in July 2010, Smarty K released in November 2010, Smarty Student and Smarty Attendance, apps for teachers to take attendance via an iPad and students to check in and ask questions via their iPhones, both released earlier this year 2011, and Smarty Cursive and Smarty Sticks just released this month.




KissOnTheFly is the iPhone app to delivery animated love postcards. This important update allow users to delivery their virtual kisses in real-time thanks to the usage within the free App Kik Messenger. This sky-rocket the emotion with many kisses sent among lovers! The KissOnTheFly app sends animated virtual kisses (postcards), but to actually send the message you have to blow over the iPhone.


Police Car ID


Black & Yellow Developers today are pleased to announce the launch of Police Car ID. University of Pittsburgh students Brian Yankello and Elliot Domagola are responsible for the development of the application. The whole process for Police Car ID has taken roughly one month. "My friend called me early one morning to tell me that he sold over 200 copies of his Yinzer app in one day. I remember after I hung up, I just sat in bed and knew I needed to think of a great app idea," said Brian. The next day, Brian Yankello called his friend Elliott Domagola, who has coded two iPhone apps of his own with an idea and less than one month later, the app was finished.


GeoTasker Lite


GeoTasker Lite is an app that was built to help remember tasks and errands while traveling. GeoTasker Lite reminds users of tasks that need to be completed by setting off an alert when approaching an area where the task is located.

7HillStudios, an imaginative mobile software developer focused on mobile education apps, has today announced a price reduction on its entire Touchlanguage mobile learning line: Spanish, French, Brazilian Portuguese, Italian, that will see every Touchlanguage app drop from $3.99 per to only $2.99. Rhythm Studio


California based Pulse Code today introduces Rhythm Studio 1.0, their brand new music app for iOS devices. Rhythm Studio offers a real life recording and mixing experience featuring a wide collection of virtual instruments that allows users to go beyond just listening to music and create their own music from scratch. This full-featured control surface includes a full 808 drum machine, 303 synthesizer, sample based synthesizer, XY style control pad, and mixer with FX.


Formula MAX


Formula MAX is the iPhone app with a collection of over 1150+ Physics, Chemistry and Maths formulas, more formulas to be added constantly through updates. The app is designed with a view of user convenience in searching, locating & referring a formula. An iPad version of this app is in progress and will be available in app store shortly.


Word Wizard


Independent children’s app developer L’Escapadou is honored to announce today that Word Wizard was awarded "Editor’s Choice Award for Excellence in Design" in Children Technology Review 2011 August issue. Established in 1993, Children’s Technology Review is designed to keep parents, teachers and librarians up to date on the latest children’s interactive media products. Editor’s Choice Awards are given to only the highest quality children’s products in the interactive media category.

Children’s Media expert Warren Buckleitner reviewed the app, and declared that "this is a very important app, because it leverages both the powerful speech synthesis abilities of the iPad and the touch screen; so every letter becomes a block of sound that you can touch and hear, or place next to another word to see how they affect each other". The app earned 4.8 stars -out of 5-  overall rating and 5 stars in educational, design features and good value ratings.




With iQuikSplash, while users can also draw an area in a photo to be splashed, they could also highlight the exact shades of colors selected manually while the rest is turned to black and white. Users can then adjust the amount of splashing required by a slider. This feature is unique to iQuikSplash and it is also the reason why the app was featured by Apple in New & Noteworthy section in over 69 countries including United States. It was even reviewed by the famous iPhone Photography blog, iPhoneography, and many more.

In the latest version release, a new feature has been added – selective contrast and brightness. Users can now adjust brightness and contrast of the selected area and black and white area independently. This feature enables users to tweak and make the selected area pops even more. iQuikSplash PRO, the paid version of iQuikSplash is also getting the new feature and will be live in a couple of days.




goGlyph, Inc today is pleased to announce the release of version 1.1 of the groundbreaking goGlyph, the geo-location based messaging application for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad. Version 1.1 brings a number of enhancements and a brand new groundbreaking function; Discovery.

Discovery allows users to see who is active, right now, worldwide, or, at user choice, within, 100, 10 or 1 kilometers or only 100 or 10 meters of their current location. You can now tag active users worldwide and send them a direct message simply because they are currently active. Direct messages are private and can be sent to any active scribe. They don’t need to be a friend or a follower. Discovery allows you to see if there is activity at a favorite location or find a new favorite location and make a new friend!

Users can toggle their discovery status from active (username shown), to stealth (hidden username), to totally hidden. You can make new friends and exchange messages with just them, in addition to the capability to leave location based messages. My Dreams: Dream interpretation


Announcing that 1Tucan, the developers of My Dreams: Dream interpretation | Dreams Dictionary, has released their latest update for iPhone, iPod touch and iPad users. The application helps users explore those mysterious night time communications that we get from our subconscious, commonly known as dreams. Although the app is already extensive in information, the latest update allows users to request specific additions, search for interpretations by full sentences, and share search results via Facebook, Twitter and email.

JoVe Apps has announced French Cookie Match 1.1, for all iOS devices. The gameplay – the user is in Paris. The user must help a baker to match his cookies. The user touches the cookies to get points. Mix the cookies, as you don’t have groups. There are five different cookies and a really nice high score system. The object of the game is to set the highest score.

Star Chase


Craig McFarlane has introduced Star Chase 1.0, for both iPhone and iPad. Destroy countless Alien enemies as fast as you can in this dual stick retro style arcade shooter. Then collect as many stars the aliens drop when destroyed as fast as you can before they disappear. The numbers of stars you collect are added together from game-to-game so your position on the Total Stars Collected Leaderboard will always be changing. Compete with your friends to be number one on three Game Center Leaderboards – Stars collected in a single game, Total Stars collected or the Highest Score.


My Gourmet


Nilisoft has introduced My Gourmet 1.0, app for the iPhone. The app features easy ways to manage your own recipes and organize them into cookbooks and menus. Although you can search recipes from the mygourmetrecipes database and use them in your collections the main idea behind the app is to create your own recipes. "I created the app because I could not find any app with the features I wanted to manage my own recipes." said Emil Nilimaa founder of Nilisoft. "There are thousands of apps for searching recipes, but none that I could find to manage my own recipes had the features I wanted, so why not make my own?"


Relax with Dr Elaine Ryan


What makes Relax with Dr Elaine different from other relaxation iPhone/iPad Apps, is that it was developed by a Doctor of Psychology, using years of experience and expert psychological knowledge, on how the brain and body works. Elaine was aware of the benefits that the average person would experience from undertaking deep relaxation. Measures HD


Neuwert-Media has announced the release of Measures HD 1.0.0, an iPad version their popular unit conversion utility which was previously available only on the iPhone and iPod touch. Measures is designed with a focus on usability. The range of conversions offered can suit everybody from a college student to a seasoned engineer or scientist. Travelers will then find currency and cloth sizes conversions very useful. Since the amount of included categories and units might be overwhelming for a casual user, the items which are not required can be deactivated through a settings menu.


Who Says Moo?


KneeBouncers has announced the release of Who Says Moo?, the first ebook app from the creators of the popular toddler’s web site. The Landwhale

Tilt And Sprout


This week Twiddly has released a significant update for their refreshing tilt-controlled action puzzler – Tilt & Sprout, a game where the goal is to guide sprouting plants from deep underground to bloom in the open air. The update adds 24 magic-themed new levels, bringing the overall total to 48, and introduces some new gameplay mechanics.

In contrast to the lush green landscapes of the original levels, the new levels are themed around myths, magic and fairytales. Wolves, witches and dragons all make cameo appearances. The aim though is still to guide vulnerable plant shoots safely to the earth’s surface carefully avoiding all hazards on the way, but added into the mix are some brand new mechanics – mystical shortcuts and dangerous stone blocks that slide as the level is tilted.


MyNature Fishing Knots


MyNature has announced MyNature Fishing Knots 1.0 for iOS, their new Reference app that features computer generated, 3D animations of knots being tied, plus illustrated, step-by-step written instructions. Including the 13 knots most commonly used today in fishing, the app’s continuous, highly realistic animations can be stopped at any time, studied, and then restarted.
