Internet Design Zone, an iOS app developer company, today is very happy to announce that their iPad app, World War II Interactive, reached the #2 position in the Books category in the App Store. The app has received very good response since its launch in October. After being voted as App of the day on November 3rd at Gizmodo, the app reached the #2 position in paid apps on November 7th. World War II Interactive is now in the top 10 charts for both paid apps and top grossing apps.

World War II Interactive is a very comprehensive app on the biggest war in human history. It covers all the major battles and events in every theater of WW2 in detail, with stunning photos, videos, articles, timelines and speeches.

One of the most popular tech websites, Gizmodo.com made World War II Interactive their App of the day on November 3rd. This is what Gizmodo editor Casey Chan had to say, "I’m a history buff, so I love this stuff. The quality of the content is really good too – for those who don’t like history, I think it makes it interesting enough with multimedia to keep you interested." The popular iPhone mileage log application, MileBug, has full path tracking with map display with the latest version 2.1.3 along with polish enhancements. With version 2.1.3, MileBug now defaults to the Number Pad for odometer entry for new users. The spinner/picker is still available via Settings. Also, when choosing from a list of Businesses, Destinations, Purposes, or Vehicles, the user is automatically returned to the Add Trip screen. No longer is it necessary for the additional step of clicking Save.

When adding a new trip, select "GPS Tracking" under the odometer readings on the Add Trip screen. This will slide on a Map View and show your current location. Simply tap "Start Tracking" and MileBug will drop a pin every time you move more than 1/10 mile. You can return to Add Trip and fill in the rest of the information, save it, and even leave MileBug to open other apps. As long as MileBug is running in the background (which it does by default), it’s tracking your trip.

At any time, you can open the Trip and return to GPS Tracking and see your path on the map. Your path is drawn on the map, with dragable pins every 1/10 mile. To edit your path, you can drag pins around, remove pins, even add new pins. If you happen to forget to turn off GPS tracking when you arrive at your destination, you can easily trim your path to the correct pin when you do remember.

Full Path GPS Tracking is in the full version only. MileBug Lite GPS is only "as the crow flies" and does not include map display.

After a month of nkdsoft’s first iOS release, Baby Sleeper Pro, the iPhone version of the app was seen on the iTunes store today. It is called Baby Sleeper Mini and presents the same nice graphics as the iPad version, but sized to fit the iPhone’s screen.

Baby Sleeper is based on a method discovered by a math professor while he was trying to make his baby niece fall asleep. "It all starts with the circle." he told us that the shape of a circle captures babies attention because of the resemblance with the mother’s eye. Most babies and small kids fall asleep in matter of minutes while watching the almost hypnotic drawings that the application generates.

The application is intended for babies or little kids but some users have reported that the application is useful as a sleeping or relaxation aid for adults too.
