Truck Stops Pro

AppAvenger announces Truck Stops Pro 1.2, their application that provides quick and simple access to over 5,400 truck stops, 2000 Rest Areas, 900 Weigh Stations and over 8100 other potential overnight parking locations. When software developer Sean Peck heard his sister complaining about the issues her husband was having as an over the road truck driver, he did what any big brother with a propensity for software development would do, he wrote an app for that. Now that app "Truck Stops Pro" has been released for iPhone.

When asked about the app Sean said, "I wrote the App with the issues my sister had mentioned in mind, and with the mindset of being simple and useful to a drive within the context of their daily job. I wanted to make sure the app provided the information that was needed, but also do it in a way that ensure quick and simple access to that information. I looked at what was out in the marketplace, and I just wasn’t seeing anything that really met those criteria."

"Truck Stops Pro" provides quick and simple access to over 5,400 truck stops, 2000 Rest Areas, 900 Weigh Stations and over 8100 other potential overnight parking locations. The entire interface is designed around a simple user model, removing complicated drill downs and inputs.

FarmYard Piano

Moonpans Apps today is pleased to announce the release and immediate availability of FarmYard Piano 1.0, its new children’s educational title developed specifically for iPad devices. FarmYard Piano is a very simple to use, single screen app based in a farmyard. The child just needs to select an animal from the top menu, then play that animal‚s sound on the keyboard below. The sounds span 7 musical notes from C to B and can be set to a single animal – pigs, cows, sheep, ducks, or for a very fun result, a mixture of all 4!

Making full use of the iPad‚s, multi-touch feature, many animals can be played at the same time or played in quick succession such as running your finger up and down the keyboard. The app has been designed to give young children a strong audio and visual reaction, as whenever an animal is touched not only will you hear its sound, but it will also animate as it pushes out its oink, moo, baa or quack.

Several age groups will enjoy FarmYard Piano, from babies who will enjoy the audio and visual reactions, toddlers who like making as much noise as possible, to older piano savvy children who will be able to play simple tunes, but would prefer to Baa, Baa Black Sheep using actual sheep rather than a boring old piano!

Ingengo is excited to announce a new version of KIDiPLAY Match for iOS that stands out from other memory games due to its unusual content: it lets kids match pictures, sounds and also pictures of objects that go together. Each game has three difficulty levels.

The new settings menu allows full control of the app features and makes the app a great teaching aid for parents and educators of special needs children with autism spectrum disorders, speech delays or visual impairment. Parents and educators can now add a voiceover for each picture and sound as the card is flipped and/or add a voiceover for pictures and sounds when they are matched. A special "freeze match" mode pauses the game when two cards are matched to allow time for discussion. Full control over which sets of pictures or sounds are active allows such discussions to center around the chosen sets, such as pictures or sounds related to transportation, animals, etc. All sounds and background music can be turned off, enabling children who are easily distracted by sounds to focus on the game. There is also an optional score at the end of each game that helps engage older kids.

With additional new content, KIDiPLAY Match now has over 80 pictures to match in the PICTURES game in six categories: food, transportation, animals, tools, musical instruments and clothing; over 50 sounds to match in the SOUNDS game in five categories: human, transportation, animals, birds and household; and over 60 pairs of objects that typically go together to match in the WHAT GOES TOGETHER game.

Amazing Kitty

Amazing Kitty, a newly launched iOS game from Shiconal, is a feline-themed, pleasing puzzler perfectly suited for the casual game enthusiast. Amazing Kitty operates on the popular and familiar premise of matching like objects – the objects, in this instance, being an irresistible array of cartoon kitty cats. Fresh design, calculated cuteness, great animation and adorable sound effects give Amazing Kitty all of the professional polish it needs to compete with the hottest puzzlers iTunes has to offer. However, the developers behind these felines offer the fans something more than predictability in a quality package.

What sets Amazing Kitty apart from its vast pool of competitors in the puzzle genre is the manner in which the game’s mechanics are handled. The goal is to tap on matches of 2 or more like kitties that touch; upon being touched, the kitties disappear and points are granted. What makes Amazing Kitty stand out is way players maneuver the kitties to meet; rather than rotating sets of cats, or manipulating cats as they fall from the top of the screen, players rotate, shake, and angle their device to move the kitties. As they do so, the kitty collection bounces freely around inside of the confines of the screen, tumbling to one side when slowly tilted, or being unpredictably scrambled when shaken.
