Joanne – Let’s start at the beginning of the day, how does your day start?
Commençons par le début de la journée, comment commencer votre journée?

Thérèse – After a good breakfast, departure to the office. I still have my iPhone in my pocket and if the light is good I take pictures or i work with those than I judge unfinished. I take the public transportation which leaves me time to work.

Après un bon petit déjeuner, départ vers le bureau. J’ai toujours mon iphone en poche et suivant la lumière je prends des photos ou je travaille celles que j’ai toujours en mémoire et que je juge inachevées. Je prends les transports en commun ce qui me laisse le temps pour travailler.

Joanne – Do you like to head out and take photographs early on?
Aimez-vous diriger et prendre des photos dès le début?

Thérèse – It depends on the images I have in stock. If I think they are all finished or if I have new projects so I’m going to hunt the image.

Ca dépend des images que j’ai en stock. Si je pense qu’elles sont toutes terminées, je fais de nouveaux projets alors je pars à la chasse à l’image.

Joanne – How did the transition from traditional photographer to mobile photographer develop? (pardon the pun).
Comment le passage du photographe traditionnel au photographe mobile se développer? (pardonnez le calembour).

Thérèse – I’ve never really been a photographer, I was reprographe. During my studies in graphic arts I learned all photographic processes of the shooting, development and enlargement, but what interested me was the “reprographing”. Work on the “bancs de reproduction”, large bellows camera, scanner images to remove the 4 films database for print. The handling films with caches and caches contraindications to make arrangements. Early in my career I had the opportunity to learn a trade forgotten today. This was before the photo manipulation with Photoshop. I remember, for a magazine cover I rejuvenated the announcer at least 10 years and without a computer. Just hiding parts and exposing others.

Je n’ai jamais réellement été photographe, j’ai été photograveur. Durant mes études en arts graphique, j’ai appris tout les processus photographiques de la prise de vue, développement et agrandissement, mais ce qui m’intéressait c’était la “reprographie”. Travailler sur les bancs de reproduction, sorte de grand appareil photo à soufflet, scanner les images pour en retirer les 4 films de base pour imprimer. Manipuler les films avec des caches et contres-caches pour en faire des montages. Au début de ma carrière professionnelle, j’ai eu la chance d’apprendre un métier oublié aujourd’hui. C’était de la manipulation photo avant Photoshop. Je me souviens avoir, pour une couverture de magazine, rajeunit la speakerine d’au moins 10 ans et cela sans ordinateur. Juste en cachant certaines parties et en en exposant d’autres.

Joanne – Do you like to download new apps regularly?
Aimez-vous télécharger de nouvelles applications régulièrement?

Thérèse – Yes it is a constant search. To have the tools to get the results expected. And as imagination is constantly changing, it is a perpetual quest.

Oui, c’est une recherche permanente. Pouvoir avoir les outils qui permettent d’arriver au résultat imaginé. Et comme l’imagination est en permanente évolution, c’est une quête perpétuelle.

Joanne – How often do you update your existing apps?
Combien de fois avez-vous mettre à jour vos applications existantes?

Thérèse – Oh that’s a good question, I don’t never counted. When they notified me in the App Store, I do the update.

Oh, quelle bonne question, je ne les jamais comptée. Quand elles me sont notifiées dans l’AppStore, je fais la mise à jour.

Joanne – Where’s your favorite place in the world for a shoot?
Quel est votre endroit préféré dans le monde pour un tournage?

Thérèse – The street, the countryside, public transport everywhere, all the time. In the morning I take the shopping street for go to the office, I love the mannequins. They faces impassive, emotionless. Carnivals, carousels, the great wheel also fascinate me.

La rue, la campagne, les transports en commun partout, tout le temps. Le matin je prends la rue commerçante pour aller au bureau, j’aime beaucoup les mannequins. Ils ont des visages impassibles, sans émotions.

Les fêtes foraines, les carrousels, la grande-roue aussi me fascinent.

Joanne – Do you also use iPhone photography tool apps, such as The Photographer’s Ephemeris and if so do you use it to plan your shoots?
Avez-vous également utiliser l’outil iPhone apps photographie, tels que les éphémérides du photographe et si oui avez-vous l’utiliser pour planifier vos séances?

Thérèse – No, as I’ve already said, I am not a photographer. The iPhone allows me to find my first job and it is always then available in my pocket. I have an become “image maker”.

Non, comme je vous l’ai déjà dis, je ne suis pas photographe. L’iphoneographie me permet de retrouver mon métier premier et tout cela disponible tout le temps et dans la poche. Je redeviens «faiseuse d’images»

Joanne – What are your favorite, at the moment, iPhoneography apps?
Quels sont vos favoris, à l’heure actuelle, les applications iPhoneography?

Thérèse – ColorMania, TapFX, Paint Fx, Movie FX, SP Photo Tada, Phototoaster, Glaze, Decim8, AfterFocus, SuperPhoto, Snapseed. And the first application that I have used and that led me to iphoneography: hipstamatic.

Joanne – Where do you like to upload your photographs? Flickr, Instagram?
Où aimez-vous de télécharger vos photos? Flickr, Instagram?

Thérèse – Pixels, EyeEm, IPA, Flickr and Facebook, Before I used Instagram but with the new policy of using pictures, I withdrew all of my images. Not because I think they are so great, but because the grip of a large financial group does not please me.

Pixels, ,EyeEm, IPA, Flickr et Facebook, Avant j’utilisais Instagram mais avec la nouvelle politique d’utilisation des images j’ai retiré presque toutes mes images. Pas parce que je crois qu’elles sont tellement géniales, mais parce que cette main mise d’un grand groupe financier ne me plait pas.

Joanne – Do you take photographs with your iPhone everyday?
Ne vous prenez des photos avec votre iPhone tous les jours?

Thérèse – Yes every day. It is so easy to capture those little moments that make a day.

Oui tous les jours. C’est tellement simple d’immortaliser ces petits moments qui font une journée.

Joanne – What are your favorite subjects to photograph?
Quels sont vos sujets de prédilection pour photographier?

Thérèse – I don’t have a particular subject but as said above, I love the mannequins and carousels.

Je n’en ai pas spécialement mais comme dit plus haut, j’aime beaucoup les mannequins, les carrousels .

Joanne – How did the teaching side come along?
Comment le côté enseignement venir avec moi?

Thérèse – No I don’t teach. From time to time I offer advice to one or the other but it stops there.

Joanne – What are your top five tips for iPhone photography?
Quels sont vos cinq conseils pour la photographie iPhone?

Thérèse – I have no advice to give. Everybody have separate ways. Try to find one that suits you. Mine is not finished and will not be until I’m very, very old and my eyes are defective.

Je n’ai pas de conseils à donner. Chacun son chemin. Essayez de trouver celui qui vous convient. Le mien n’est pas fini et ne le sera que quand je serai très, très vieille et que mes yeux me feront défauts.

Joanne – Do you edit images on your iPhone or do you prefer to do that on a desktop/laptop?
Avez-vous d’éditer les images sur votre iPhone ou préférez-vous le faire sur un ordinateur de bureau / ordinateur portable?

Thérèse – I do both. But I prefer to view my pictures on my MacBook before loading.
Je faire les deux. Mais je préfère regarder mes photos sur mon MacBook avant le chargement.

Joanne – Do you enjoy videography with your iPhone?

Thérèse – I do not do videography.

Joanne – Where do you see the future of iPhone photography?

Thérèse – There are so many talented people, they open unexplored paths using applications with images.

Joanne – What do you think is the most popular area of iPhoneography?
Que pensez-vous est le quartier le plus populaire de iPhoneography?

Thérèse – I don’t know what is the most popular. It is depends of your culture. I really like the pictures a little dark, but I do not think they are popular.

Je ne sais pas ce qui est le plus populaire. Ca dépend des cultures. Moi j’aime beaucoup les images un peu sombres, mais je ne pense pas qu’elles soient populaires.

Joanne – Do you think it’s country specific, are some nations more clued up?
Pensez-vous que c’est spécifique au pays, quelques nations plus clued?

Thérèse – No, the iPone is present in many countries. And there are talented people everywhere.

Joanne – What do you hope for in newer versions of the iPhone?

Thérèse – I do not have the iPhone 5. The 4S suits me perfectly.
