The Passing of Cheryl Tarrant, Developer of Distressed FX

We are so sorry inform you of the passing of our Cheryl Tarrant, developer of the Distressed FX app on 6 October 2023. This news comes with a heavy heart, as she was such an integral part of our mobile art and photography community but not only that, she was a friend to many of us too.

We understand that this loss is deeply affecting us all. In remembrance of Cheryl, we hope to arrange a memorial event showcase of works by mobile artists who have not only adored Cheryl but also her creation of the Distressed FX app. Please send your images to joannetheappwhisperer@gmail.com to enable me to create this.  Let us come together during this difficult time to celebrate her life and the incredibly positive impact she had on us all.

Our thoughts are with Cheryl’s family, friends, and loved ones during this trying period.
