Softmatic has announced the availability of PhotoStamp V3.0 in the Mac App Store. With Softmatic PhotoStamp it’s a fast and easy 5-step process to batch-stamp and watermark digital images. PhotoStamp stamps text, copyright signs and notices, images, Exif data, dates and more. The app reads virtually any image format (including raw formats CR2 and NEF) and outputs watermarked images as JPEG, TIFF, PNG and so forth.
The "Assistant"-style concept of PhotoStamp makes it very easy to use. Source images are simply dragged over the drop target in the first pane of the main window. These can be individual files or complete folders.
In the second step any of the predefined watermark designs can be applied to the images. Text watermarks can contain static text but also dynamic data, like the current date or meta data like Exif information stored in the photo. Image watermarks can be company logos and the like. All watermarks can be easily rotated, centered on the image or snapped to one of the edges. In addition to the predefined marks, users can define their own watermarks. The number of watermarks per image is unlimited.
Output options like target folder, image format, jpeg quality are set in the third step. PhotoStamp can scale the images if so required to fit into given dimensions. And a great time saver: PhotoStamp can automatically create thumbnails in addition to the watermarked images.
Finally, a test run with a single photo applies all settings to the first image of the batch. If the user is happy with the result, the whole set of images can be processed. PhotoStamp is fully multithreaded, stays responsive even with megapixel sized images and the watermarking process can be stopped anytime.
System Requirements:
* Mac OS X 10.6 or later
* 1.2 MB
Pricing and Availability:
The price for an individual license has been slashed from $29.95 to only $9.99. Effective Feb. 20, 2011, PhotoStamp V3.0 is only $9.99 USD (or equivalent amount in other currencies) and available worldwide exclusively through the Mac App Store in the Photography category.
