‘A Picture’s Worth‘… is where we ask mobile photographers that have created powerful mobile photography/art to explain the processes they took. This includes their initial thoughts as to what they wanted to create, why they wanted to create it, how they created it, including all apps used and what they wanted to convey. We also ask these incredible artists to explain their emotions and how the image projects those feelings. We have published a few A Picture’s Worth articles recently, if you have missed those – please go here. Fragment – A Fabulous Brand New iOS Photography App From The Developers Of Tangent and LoryStripes

2013-12-19 / Comments Off on Fragment – A Fabulous Brand New iOS Photography App From The Developers Of Tangent and LoryStripes

Wow! this app Fragment looks fantastic, it’s a brand new app from the developer Ben Guerrette (Pixite LLC), from Tangent (App Store Best of 2013) and LoryStripes fame. We’re delighted to publish the latest mobile photography Technical Tutorial by our fabulous Tutorial Editor Jerry Jobe, this time on the new and popular iOS photography app, LoryStripes. Don’t miss this, over to you Jerry. (Foreword by Joanne Carter). We’ll wrap up our look at the apps of Ben Guerrette/Pixite with a walk through LoryStripes. It’s remarkably similar to Tangent (using “ribbons” instead of shapes), but instead of allowing for patterns and seven different blend modes, it allows for 3D perspective and masking. Like Tangent, the opening screen is very minimal. You can choose to take a photo, load a photo, get a little information about the app, or tap…
