First Nokia Windows App Appears
Perhaps a confusing headline, but Nokia have signaled they are closer than ever now with releasing their Wndows Phone hardware. Their first app has appeared although it’s not possible to download it yet. Nokia are expected to have their first Windows phone available before the end of 2011 but perhaps this is indication that they are going to launch sooner than that. Late October will see the Nokia World event and many believe this is where Nokia will reveal all. Rumors abound as to what it will look like but the most likely opinion seems to be that it will resemble the N9. We seriously can’t wait. Nokia N9

Mango OS Now Running On New Samsung Omnia W
Samsung has announced today that their Windows phones, the Omnia range now have a new model in their stable, the Omnia W. Samsung explained that this device will their first phone to run Windows Phone 7.5, codenamed, Mango. The smartphone itself sports a 1.4GHz processor with 512MB RAM, 14.4Mbps HSPA+ support, 3.7-inch Super AMOLED display, 5MP autofocus camera and front-facing VGA camera, 720p HD video recording and playback, Bluetooth 2.1, Wi-Fi 802.11b/g/n, 8GB internal memory, A-GPS, 25GB of Windows Live Skydrive free storage and 1500mAH battery.
