iOS – Vine App – Updated With New Camera
I had the pleasure of experiencing a Vine demonstration in London many months ago (many thanks @RichardBarley from Twitter HQ for that). Richard is a wonderful man and incredibly enthusiastic about Vine. I have to say I share much of his enthusiam with regards this new update. There’s a new camera that gives you the freedom to create a Vine in any way you want. New camera tools offer additional, more advanced ways to edit your videos, and you can import existing videos from your phone. I’m really looking forward to giving this update a whirl. Vine is a free app and you can download it here.

We are having a complete ‘session’ in town/London tomorrow with the Vine team, so we’ll be able to report more following that. In the meantime, check out the video walkthrough below. If you have a Windows phone and would like to give it a whirl, go here.

Instagram received a minor update yesterday, compared at least to the major update of the Video update recently. This update now adds the very much desired landscape mode and video stabilization feature when using the front facing camera. The landscape support allows for both photos and videos to be shot in landscape mode. The front facing camera stabilization is only available on the IOS version of Instagram at the moment, hopefully this will be coming soon to Android. If you are hankering for front facing video stabilization, Vine have had this feature to their Android app from day 1. Click here to update/download Instagram
