Best Squash Halloween

Every year, on Halloween, creatures of hell are trying to make a breakthroug into our world. This time they made it. Your mission is tap on all of them, make it to Chief Demon  (you’ll have to tap him to death too), and save this world. Then again. And again. And again. Until your fingers will hurt, your battery run low, or you’ll run out of food in the fridge. And for now –  Welcome to Hell!

"When I first tried playing this game I thought – duh, what can be more simple than tap-everything-that-moves? But less than in 4 minutes I was involved so deep that I forgot all around me" – Kevin Torms, average gamer

Tap on each monster which appears on the screen to kill him. Tap on everything they throw at you to counter the attack. Improve your skills to  win medals, coins and unlock achievements. One tap – one kill. And all of this to save good souls 🙂

Right Note Lite – Ear Trainer

Right Note matured to version 1.3 and received positive reviews from users and portals such as No Treble, iDesign Sound or iOS Musician. Now a Lite version is offered for free so everybody can try it out. All features are present, with only a limit on the available intervals and notes, so the user can experience the full capabilities of the application.

Right Note was created to offer the user an easy to use ear trainer and at the same time giving high configuration possibilities for each exercise mode. The user can use the predefined lessons or tailor the settings to his own needs, moving on his own pace.

Melody dictation mode:
Right Note is also unique to have a well design melody dictation mode with settings like: note scale, note range, show first note, silent answering, random note length and other. It teaches the user to identify the melody he is hearing or has in his head. This is a big step to playing by ear and improvisation.

Microphone recognition:
To complement this, Right Note introduced microphone recognition. Thanks to this the user can answer using a live instrument for all modes. This greatly enhances ear training, giving a more natural way of playing. The algorithm can recognize a wide range of notes for different instruments. Now the user can get the "feel" of an instrument and where each note is.

Learn from your mistakes:
Right Note also offers the user a better question-answer approach so he can learn as much as possible from his mistakes. Giving a bad answer does not automatically move to the next question, leaving the user puzzled to what was wrong. Instead he can retry all he wants without the fear of losing more points. After this, the right answer can be shown and compared with the wrong answers. Also other possible answers can be heard to get some more context. All this gives an opportunity to fully analyze and understand a mistake before moving on.

Martina 2 – Why Has My Brother Got Two Daddies?

1Tapps today is pleased to introduce Martina 2 – Why Has My Brother Got Two Daddies? 1.0 for iOS, the second in their series of successful ebooks featuring Martina, a three-year old girl who asks questions that adults may find difficult to answer. Written and illustrated for young children, the ebook clearly describes how mothers can begin new relationships, and that they can bring a child with them from their previous relationship. The book also discusses the difference between the love of a parent for a child, which is unconditional, and the love of a man and a woman, which can sometimes change. The app answers the question in its title with honesty, sensitivity, and simplicity.

Written by Maria Leon and with illustrations by Abigail, Why Has My Brother Got Two Daddies? is the question young Martina asks when she sees her brother picked up for a weekend visit by another adult he calls daddy. How it is possible to have two daddies is, quite naturally, very hard for Martina to imagine. Yet, she knows that it is true.

The author explains the purpose of her series of books. "This collection of stories is designed to share with the younger members of the family the experiences that Martina has had; both the good and the bad. In my opinion, it is a good idea to educate children about their feelings in a natural way, without changing words and hiding things. Martina is a three-year old girl that is part of a typical family. Her adventures are nothing more than a discovery of the new and strange things there are in the society she is living in, and the challenges they present. The Martina collection is full of adventures with animals, friends and family. Situations that can seem simple, but for our little ones they are unforgettable experiences that affect them forever."

CFI Tools Takeoff Landing Distance

CFI Tools announced today the latest upgrade to their Takeoff & Landing App. This release continues CFI Tools’ expansion in the smartphone aviation App industry. The T&L App allows pilots to easily calculate takeoff & landing distances for their airplane based on the current conditions for the flight.

To make this process easier the App downloads the current weather conditions from the National Weather Service (NWS) and combines it with airport and airplane data to make the calculations. This aviation weather data is known as a METAR and is the standard weather report supplied by thousands of airports worldwide.

Pilots are required by FAA regulation to calculate expected takeoff and landing distances for each flight. These calculations require current weather reports including temperature, wind direction and speed and air pressure. The T&L App gathers this information from internet sources as and uses it with generic guidance from airplane owner’s handbooks to make the calculations. With this information it makes a useful training device for pilots who must make these calculations.

"We are very happy to continue the expansion of the  T&L App, now available on iPad, iPhone, iPod and Android devices," said CFI Tools owner Brian Best. "The T&L App has been very well received and we receive requests to add many popular models. These five new models are among the favorites. We hope to continue this expansion with more widely used GA aircraft".

Easy Calendar

Easy Calendar is proud to announce the release and immediate availability of an updated version of its iPhone weekly calendar application called Easy Calendar 1.2 that now supports a search feature. Designed around frequent tasks, Easy Calendar focuses on simplicity and entry speed allowing users to create a new event or edit an existing one with just a few taps. The new search feature was designed to fit into this concept of simplicity.

By significantly lowering the number of steps required to enter a typical appointment, Easy Calendar increases the usability of an iPhone as a day-to-day agenda. Being integrated with the iPhone native calendar, Easy Calendar benefits from such standard synchronization features as iCloud, Outlook, Google Calendar and other CalDAV calendars.

Much of Easy Calendar’s ease of use follows from its 100% focus on a week view. Therefore the search is part of that same week view, not in a separate search screen. The search directly jumps into the week where the matching events can be found. This prevents you from having to deal with two separate views of the same calendar data. And because it shows you the other events in the same week it’s perfect for rescheduling events, even when search was used to find those events.

"We are committed to never compromise on the ‘Easy’ aspect of Easy Calendar. For that reason we decided that a separate screen to search through events would not do it. It had to be as simple as searching backwards and forwards in a text document." said Tom van Zummeren, one of the co-creators of Easy Calendar.
