Yes we know that title is going to promote a lot of comments but it is actually completely true, Craig Royal is legally blind and has been since birth. Craig is also an award-winning visually impaired fine art photographer and photo artist, with a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree from Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU). He received a professional fellowship from the Virginia Museum of Fine Art in 1983 after graduating from VCU.
We are picking up this story after we saw it via Facebook on the Visionaware.org site. You can read more about Craig’s eye conditions over there, see link but just take a look at some of his work below, before you do… These images are as far as we are aware not mobile, but we have a call waiting for Craig to come back to discuss this thoughts on mobile photography and we’re hoping, some images too. Check back for that.
“If you have vision loss, don’t lose sight of the beauty of life. If you have lost sight of the beauty of life, you are truly blind.” ~ Craig Royal, fine art photographer
Joanne Carter, creator of the world’s most popular mobile photography and art website— TheAppWhisperer.com— TheAppWhisperer platform has been a pivotal cyberspace for mobile artists of all abilities to learn about, to explore, to celebrate and to share mobile artworks. Joanne’s compassion, inclusivity, and humility are hallmarks in all that she does, and is particularly evident in the platform she has built.
