Welcome the seventieth showcase in our Mobile Movies Column, curated and edited by Giulia Baita. All of the entries were either shot or created on mobile devices. ‘Setting Up’ – Karen Axelrad

A group of waiters moves fast in the elegant dining room of a restaurant. Everything seems to prepare an important event. Time Lapse is perfect in this short video. The music underlines the frenetic atmosphere, preparations .. Well done!

‘Pulse and interpretation of a play based on Mario Benedetti’s Poems’ – Miguel Angel Camero

Wonderful play by Sandra Munõz movie with ProCamera 8 and edited with LumaFX. The mirror effect plays with the figures of the actors who, in this way, forming geometrical figures. Men and women move in a black space and LumaFX get a great job on this video. Wonderful!

‘Baking Bread Burns for School Lunch’ – Osk Alden

This video filming a scene in the kitchen. A woman prepares cakes, knead the dough, add the ingredients, put it in the oven. Time Lapse tells so hectic work and the music by Air Kitten underlines the speed of movement. Funny!

‘Ajai Alai’ – Natali Prosvetova

A windmill that rotates and invites to observe the center, while the hypnotic music repeats the same words like a nursery rhyme. The hands emerging from a wall allude to something surreal, a magical atmosphere. Cinematic app has the result of creating the right atmosphere. Great!

‘West Coast Time Lapse’ – Noah Fentz

Videos shot in different locations. They have in common people frantically walking, talking, running. Time Lapse describes the fast life in the big city: Seattle, San Francisco, Los Angeles, San Diego. The music by Kevin MacLeod accompanies the pounding rhythm of life in these great cities. Well done!

‘Flow’ – Allyson Marie

A continuous stream of fish which move in the same direction. The reflections on the water and the music by Videoshop create an almost hypnotic state. A magical atmosphere that is emphasised by the repetition of the same scene multiple times. Magical!

Giulia Baita. Italian iPhonographer. She lives in a beautiful island in the Mediterranean called "Sardinia". Passionate about painting and drawing, she obtained a degree in History of Contemporary Art. Studies and supports examination of the History of Cinema at the 'University of Cagliari'. She is a professor of Italian and History and whilst in high school continued to cultivate her passion for the Art. For several years she has been and continues to be in love with Mobile Photography and Mobile Art. Some of her photos have been shown in international exhibitions and she is currently highly interested in the Mobile Movies.
