Mobile Photography – WaterField Designs iPhone Camera Bag Review
Like many mobile photographers I have been searching for an androgynous, inconspicuous, compact case to carry my iPhone and the various lenses, tripods, cables, I have acquired, without being too large, for some time. Finally, I have found it! This week Waterfield Designs, based in San Francisco, United States, kindly sent me their brand new iPhone camera bag in premium full grain leather to review. This case has a super tight grain and resists moisture to a good degree, the waterproof zipper proves its worth. This case is also available in vegan 1050 Denier Ballistic Nylon, if you prefer, no animal products are used in this version at all, even the label is woven instead of traditional leather.
This small longitudinal case fulfils my mobile photography needs. It can carry one large device, iPhone Plus size or smaller, along with four small lenses, the adjustable dividers ensure valuables are held securely. The interior is completely soft-lined and the body is encapsulated in dense foam for additional protection. There’s a pocket for an external battery supply (small one) as well as a zippered mesh pocket for other small items. On the base of the case there are expandable bands for securing a mini tripod. There is also an adjustable shoulder strap that I personally prefer to use but there are also loops on the back of the case, if you prefer to hook it onto a belt, if you’re wearing trousers.
The premium leather version of this case retails for $129. The black ballistic nylon case is $99. If you’re in the market for a small iPhone photography case, this one is worthy of consideration. Take a look at the video below. To find out more, go here.
