The Lumen Prize Exhibition – Call For Entries
The Lumen Prize Exhibition, an international prize and global tour for digital fine art, has opened the call for entries for its 2014 prize. The 25 exhibition works, which will be selected by an eminent jury panel of art experts including Bruce Wands, the Founding Chair of BFA Computer Art Department at the School of Visual Arts, New York City and Doug Dodds, Senior Curator at the V&A, will travel to Cardiff, London, New York City, Athens and Amsterdam. Open Call for Photobook Dummies
After two successful editions, the Unseen Dummy Award is back! Heikki Kaski’s ‘Tranquility’ was announced as the winner at Unseen 2013, and his book will be presented with a festive launch at Unseen 2014.  This is fabulous and I know so many of you are working on your own photo books, I hope you submit your individual books to this. Mobile Masters Competition – Deadline Extented
The deadline has been extented for this fabulous mobile photography competition. You now have until March 9, 2014 to enter. The aim of this second edition of the Mobile Masters interactive eBook is to showcase Mobile Photography as a distinctive and expanding new movement in the history of the art form. The Head On Awards 2014 are now open for entries and this year they have included a special mobile photography category – entitled ‘Head on Mobile’. You may submit up to 3 works in each category – Portrait, Landscape, Mobile, Multimedia (total of 12 entries). Prizes will be awarded for the best 3 images. Wildlife Photographer of the Year Competition with Mobile Category – Deadline Approaching
As avid followers of the Wildlife Photographer of the Year competition for more years than we care to remember we were delighted to learn last year that the organisers have added a mobile category for smartphone photographers aged 17 and under, called WILD-I, hopefully this will be rolled out within the adult category too at a later stage, we mentioned it here.
