We are delighted to publish our New Year Resolutions for 2018 from a selection of highly talented mobile photographers and artists throughout the world. As in previous years we have asked mobile photographers and artists for their New Year Resolutions with an accompanying image or video . Thank you to everyone who has contributed, they all make great reading, viewing and are inspiring, we are forever grateful to you all. When thinking of a New Year resolution for myself, I tend to think more of it as a new year plan, one that I contribute to each day. Some days I will contribute more to it than others, starting with baby…

Mobile Photography – TrueView Interview ‘What do you think makes a good mobile photograph?” with Gillian Brodie from Edinburgh, Scotland
TrueView Interviews, it’s where we ask one singular question, to mobile photographers and artists and it is captured to video. This time we asked accomplished Mobile Photographer and Artist, Gillian Brodie from Edinburgh, Scotland and now living in Western Australia, “What do you think Makes a good Mobile Photograph?” Many artists are working on their videos right now and each video is as unique and individual as each artist. We are fully conscious and respectful that you are all capturing a part of yourself and sharing it with us and we love it. Thank you. Mobile Photography & Art Flickr Group Showcase – 26 February 2017
When I view all of your images each week, I feel the love that you have bestowed into each one with your devotion and also with your skills and it warms me and this is one of the many reasons I create this showcase each and every week because I want your work to be seen and to be shown. I count my blessings everyday to be in this position, where I can show the world, your art. In between many things this week, I have been reading a book entitled “The Art of Loving” by Erich Fromm. Mobile Photography / Art New Year Resolutions 2017 From Around The World
When we think of a new year, we sometimes think of a fresh start and with that, our minds start racing with ways to improve on what we did last year. Sometimes, New Year Resolutions are ambitious, sometimes less so but all are supposed to hold the promise of commitment for the entire year. This can be difficult to achieve and it can be hard to keep up the enthusiasm but not impossible. It’s important to not only enjoy big goals but also to enjoy the little things, looking at the stars at night, walking barefoot in the grass… essentially bring more peace to our lives. In many ways, following…
Grand Flickr Group Showcase of 2016 – TheAppWhisperer – Mobile Photography and Art
I had intended to publish our 2016 Grand Flickr Group Showcase of Mobile Photography and Art on Christmas Day this year. I had prepared most of it ahead of time and was relatively well organised to go live on 25 December. However, events took a turn for the worse and as I awoke after a thoroughly turbulent night on the morning of 24 December, I picked up my phone and saw a Facebook message coming through from a friend expressing how sorry she was for the loss of Carolyn Hall Young a few hours before. For a few moments, I thought I was still in the midst of the wretched…
Mobile Photography – StreetWise – Seventh Challenge Results – ‘Shapes and Geometry in the Street’
Welcome to our Seventh StreetWise Challenge Showcase – ‘Shapes and Geometry in the Street’. We are thrilled to share it with you. Thank you so much for participating and sharing your wonderful photographs. Lee and I were thrilled by all the beautiful submissions to this fun challenge. There were so many creative ways in which you incorporated the theme into your photographs that it was quite difficult for us to choose amongst them — we were truly inspired by each and every one. Also, we are growing as a group and we couldn’t be more excited. It’s such a pleasure for Lee and I to see new people added to…

Reflections…
Visual, lingering, photographic poetry, partially obscured images with reflective streaks, taken through glass. Gillian Brodie discusses how the fleeting moment is one she craves, to capture for eternity. I am fascinated by the reflections I see when walking through urban environments. They are not immediately obvious, indeed you could say they’re not even there until you know how to look for them. Most people see a shop window, but to me there’s a whole new world hidden in plain sight. “These pictures represent the world beyond the every day – other layers of reality, dimensions that exist behind the superficial. They are right there if you are willing to look beneath the surface”…
