Explosion At Apple Supplier Plant
Reuters are reporting this morning that an Apple supplier plant, Pegatron Corp, suffered an explosion at the subsidiary’s plant in Shanghai this weekend. Sixty-one people are said to have been injured with twenty three needing hospital treatment. This latest incident of course, this throws the spotlight back onto safety concerns that have plagued factories in China. Fire Not The Cause Apparently the fire was not the cause of this explosion but details of the actual cause have also not yet emerged. The iPad 3 Display Will Be 2048 x 1536 Resolution
With the PPI rurmored to be be more than 264 on the new iPad 3, twice the 132 PPI on the iPad 2, questions are beginning to arise as to whether display manufacturers such as Samsung or LG could produce them in large enough numbers. According to CNET this morning, ‘the closest that iPad display manufacturers like LG Display and Samsung can get is 2048×1536’. Apple iPad 3 Delayed Until 2012
AllthingsD are reporting that it is increasingly unlikely that the highly anticipated iPad 3 will launch until 2012. An analyst, Mark Moskowitz from J.P. Morgan, explains: “In recent months, there has been rising investor speculation that a new iPad 3 would be launched for the holiday season,” Moskowitz wrote in a research note to clients. “Our latest research continues to indicate that there is no such device slated for production this year. … There are prototypes in the supply chain related to the next-generation device, but our conversations with industry participants suggest that a new device will not be available until sometime in calendar 2012.” No Surprise To be honest…
