I must apologise for being quiet on the site from mid week, this week. On Wednesday I was admitted to hospital and underwent some quite comprehensive abdominal surgery. Many of you will be aware that I was invited to lecture at the Seoul Museum of Art, South Korea on 23 September 2015. It was a huge honour for me to be invited by DigiFun Art to participate in the DigiFun Art: Urban Scape Mobile Photography & Art Exhibition and Festival at this most prestigious museum. I am delighted to publish the Seoul Museum of Art Flickr Group Showcase that I presented within my lecture this week on Wednesday 23rd September 2015. I cannot express the impact it made on the audience, they were all thoroughly captivated and mesmerised by your art and the accompanying music. Wow! This weeks’ mobile photography and art Flickr Group Showcase is incredible. Following my curation and creation of the showcase, I watched it several times. It reminded me of a letter by Fancesca Woodman to Giuseppe Gallo in 1980. Woodman was recovering from prolonged sickness and she read ‘the complete works of Proust’ which thoroughly inspired her. She said “I’d really like to create a work of art like that, rooted in and linked to everyday life, but addressing questions of great scope”. This beautiful showcase offers immense scope.
