Wired iPad App Going Free – For One Month
Adobe have agreed to sponsor Wired magazine for one month and therefore Conde Nast are effectively offering their latest issue of Wired iPad edition completely free. Virgin did a similar deal with their Project iPad app recently, thanks to sponsorship from American Express. We can’t help but wonder whether this is going to be a new trend in iOS magazine publishing… Social Sharing Wired is also launching new social sharing features within the lastest issue and readers will now be able to post links to its articles on Facebook and Twitter. What confusing times we are living in, yesterday The New York Times announced a new paywall to read their digital content. The Daily’s Paywall will hit your credit cards shortly and then this news…. The Project, the iPad magazine app created by Richard Branson is going free, in so much as Issue 4 anyway. Just head to the App Store and click on download and you won’t be billed a penny/cent.
