BlackBerry App World Updated To Version 3.0.2.7
Research In Motion (RIM) have launched a new version of BlackBerry App World today, currently we do not have additional information as to why it has been updated but we’re guessing the usual bug fixes are the most likely. Native apps including Twitter for BlackBerry and BlackBerry traffic have also been updated. Head over here to update your device.

New BlackBerry Bold 9790 And Curve 9390 – Announced
At last RIM have officially announced the BlackBerry Bold 9790 and BlackBerry Curve 9380 – two new additions to join the OS 7 portfolio. The 9790 is an improvement over the 9780 with 2.44 inch screen, complete with 360×480 resolution and powered by 1GHz of CPU power. There’s also 8GB of memory onboard and a microSD slot that gives an additional 32GB of extra space. The 9390 Curve has a larger 3.2 inch screen with a 480×360 display along with a 5 MP camera. $100 Of Premium Apps Courtesy Of RIM
Following last weeks disruption of service to its BlackBerry customers, Research In Motion Ltd have agreed to offer $100 worth of premium apps to download from BlackBerry App World for four weeks commencing October 19. Enterprize customers will also be offered one month of free technical support. Android Still Leading The Way In SmartPhone Market Wars
According to the latest report from comScore Inc, out of a surey of more than 30,000 US mobile subscribers, Google Android continued to gain ground in the smartphone market, reaching a whopping 41.8% market share. Apple are second with 27% and RIM comes in for a bronze with a 21.7% share. Meanwhile Microsoft sports a lowly 5.7% and Symbian with 1.9%. Latest BlackBerry Phones To Run Android Apps
Bloomberg are reporting that the latest BlackBerry smartphones will be designed to run Android Apps. Sources close to Bloomberg have explained that RIM are building their latest smartphones with QNX software and QNX software will be able to run Android apps. If this is true then this will be seen as a very shrewd move by RIM and will certainly increase the appeal of the BlackBerry line-up.
