Alternative Processes: Live Bacteria and Incredible Photographic Portraits
Impermanence is a photographic project by South Korean artist Seung-Hwan OH, it’s very unusual. As he explains, ‘I use medium format colour positive film. And I think microbes eat gelatin which make light sensitive chemicles break out’. ‘This creates an aesthetic of entangled creation and destruction that inevitably is ephemeral, and results in complete disintegration of the film so that it can only be delicately digitized before it is consumed’, he said.
