TUAW are reporting that they received an email from U.S. Air Force Combat Controller, Ron Walker describing how his iPhone 4 went AWOL last week, at 1,000 ft and survived. This is what happened… Whilst leaning out from the aircraft while on duty last week, the velcro seal on one of Walker’s uniform pockets opened and with that his iPhone 4 flew out without even a second glance but without a parachute to soften the fall.
