One Man Left Studios has announced the release of its first multiplayer gametype for Tilt to Live for iOS, called Viva la Coop! It’s a free addition to the game’s 99¢ (US) Expansion, Viva la Turret, released in December of 2010. This cooperative mode works over wi-fi or Bluetooth between two local devices. Wi-fi play will sync the pair’s highscore to a dedicated Coop leaderboard.
As our App of Day, all our regular readers know the trailer for this app will feature on every page of our site for a whole day. Just scroll to the bottom of this page to take a look.
Tilt to Live, currently enjoyed by more than half a million users, is an arcade shooter with a unique combat system. Rather than endlessly firing at enemies, players must evade them long enough to reach one of nine unlockable weapon orbs. All of this action is controlled exclusively by responsive, customizable tilt controls. The game’s scope has been expanded over time to include 4 gametypes, plus an additional turret weapon and gametype with purchase of the Viva la Turret expansion.
Viva la Coop marks the fourth major expansion since Tilt to Live’s February 2010 release on the App Store, and celebrates the game’s one year anniversary. It will be ported to Tilt to Live HD, the game’s iPad counterpart, this March.
