parallel II perspectives With Catherine Restivo & JQ Gaines

We’re delighted to publish the very first of Catherine Restivo’s and JQ Gaines’ ‘parallel II perspectives’ brand new column with us. Parallel II perspectives is a collaborative space allowing both Catherine and JQ to creatively explore their impressions from passing glimpses of strangers, buildings or even objects, using the same image.

In this first article, we have created two separate screenshows of their images along with their own individual audio to demonstrate this entirely. We really hope you enjoy this wonderful column, many thanks to Catherine and JQ for their excellent work.

This is such an interesting way to experience the editorial choices both of you negotiated. I love the audio walk-through, as a way to get a feel for the person behind those decisions.

This was absolutely amazing. Thank you so much Catherine and JQ for sharing your processing and workflow with us mere mortals. I will most definitely be keeping an eye on this column.

More catching up on the archives of the appwhisperer – I like the slower pace and more intimate non technical tutorial – I have gleaned some valuable processes to add to my own discovery process – and enjoyed this particular image – so different from my own rural surroundings
