iPhone Photography Tutorial – ‘Going On A Trip’ By Natali Prosvetova

Recently one of my iFriends, Roger Guetta, one of the most talented artists, whose work never ceases to amaze and inspire me, gave a task.. a very challenging favour… He gave us an original photo of one of his students, and asked us to retouch it… and here we go!

What looked as a challenge before became a superb and interesting project and I truly enjoyed it.

Well, for some reason I’ll keep silent with others details of this challenge and move on now to my tutorial 😉

First of all I decided to give more fun for this pic =) and I ran it through the FunnyFace app. I should mention, that I really loved her great yellow scarf and her stylish glasses =)

This picture I achieve by using the Pencil Camera app, using Canvas effect. I like the way it looks now but I would like to improve it by using Snapseed using apps settings (adjust Brightness, Ambiance, Contrast, Saturation etc.)

So far I do not see something special in it … I’ve mentioned that I liked her scarf! You know, it reminds me about some travelers …..
Excellent! So, I decided to direct her to a fascinating journey and I mark it with the old/vintage atlas 😉 As well as I little bit decorate her yellow scarf in a common style.

And now I am very pleased, this is the look I was after.

These textures I combine with this being the resulting pic using the Blender app. Several times before, I have explained in detail using Blender app. and its settings.

You can find it in my previous tutorials… see here.

Such a fun and whimsical edit Natali! I do have a question though; the world atlas background, did you take that image and use Blender or some other app for layering, or is that atlas background a filter in an app somewhere? It looks GREAT! 😀

Wait . . . you used Blender! 🙂 My dog is currently nagging me for her food and therefore a big distraction. Mercy . . . 😉

Hello dear Janine!!! Sorry for the delayed reply 🙁 it turned out that I have a the rare opportunity to be in touch. Thank you so much for your kind words and praise!!! Glad to know that you liked it!!!
As to atlas – Earlier I processed original atlas background, (which I processed several times for other works) and now I just layering using Blender!
