Top Five Photo Apps – Photo App Lounge – Louise Fryer

Welcome to our Photo App Lounge section of theappwhisperer.com. This is an area on our site where we ask highly accomplished mobile photographers what their top five photo apps are and why.

Last week we published the Top Five Photo Apps as recommended by Yannick Brice , Cedric Blanchon, Irene Sneddon and our Columnist and Award Winning Mobile Artist Sarah Jarrett’s Top Five Photo Apps including accompanying images demonstrating these selections.

Today we are featuring Louise Fryer, a wonderfully inspiring mobile photographer who has impressed us with her mobile photography, mobile art and freedom of spirit. We’re sure you will find this to be an intriguing and fascinating read. Each image represents the app discussed. We recently featured Louise in our A Picture’s Worth section too, if you missed that, please go here.

I find it incredibly useful, just for straightening, brightening or cropping. There is so much versatility with this app, everything within it is so adaptable, I must use it every day for some reason.

I love the vintage washed out tones and the black and whites filters, they suit a lot of my photography, there are some beautiful variations, I love this app for portraits.

There are a lot of similar painting apps, I guess we find ones that we can understand and use easily, this for me is perfect, although I don’t ‘paint’ I find it useful for enhancing all kinds of photo’s, it’s a little like a simple Photoshop. I love it for evening skin tones, adding layers and details.

Another app that is amazingly versatile, you can use the textures in lots of different combinations and colour tones. A lot more textures are available to buy from the store, I’m really enjoying using this app lately.

I like to use it extremely subtly, just for photo’s that need a little more definition. I don’t like the strong effects that can be achieved but it comes in handy.
