Over to you Elaina (foreword by Joanne Carter)…
‘I love a look that is slightly painterly, but if its too strong it can take a away from other elements in the photo, such as texture, light,& mood. If you want a painterly look but want to preserve the photography element in a photo, run the photo through a painting app, but make sure to save the original as you will need it.I love the app glaze but there are many out there. Then, after fine tuning it, save it to you’re camera roll’.
Step One
Import the raw photo into a painting app. I like glaze but there are so many great painting apps, go with one you like.
Step 2
I used a custom mix to give the image a very painterly look.
Step 3
Import the original image into a layering app. I use superimpose to blend and mask so, that is what you see here. I chose the lighter blend mode.
Step 4
Adjust the tones, brightness and contrast to taste and save the final project!

Hope this tip helps,have fun!
