Jaime Glasser Joins TheAppWhisperer as a New Columnist

We are delighted to welcome Jaime Glasser as a new Columnist to TheAppWhisperer. Glasser has recently returned to the art world after a career as a Veterinarian and a Research Scientist. She attended the Glassell School of Art at the Museum of Fine Art in Houston, Texas. She was a watercolor artist before devoting her career to animals and writing on Animal Hospice. Glasser has joined TheAppWhisperer to host a collaboratory mobile photography group and associated Column called Artistic Anarchy: Mobile Collusions.

Artistic Anarchy: Mobile Collusions will be written by Jaime Glasser and edited by Joanne Carter to accompany the Artistic Anarchy: Mobile Collusions Facebook Group – see here.  We have also created a Flickr Group for you to share your images, so we can curate from here and create showcases to present within the column. Here is the link to this Flickr Group.

Artistic Anarchy: Mobile Collusions is a collaboratory Mobile Photography and Digital Art group; each month we will randomly assign partners who exchange images and re-interpret each other’s vision through mobile Apps. Some of the best Mobile Photographers and Artists in the world are participating. We welcome your participation and look forward to seeing the incredible art that is being made. It is a wonderful experience to interpret an image in a whole different aesthetic than the artist that captured it. It is a great opportunity to get to know another artist and share in creating art with each other’s images. One of the intriguing reasons to participate is to experience having your image interpreted with an alien and surprising sensibility!

In this exciting new Column we will share experiences from participating in this group. We will have interviews with pairs of participants and get a feeling for their experiences and thoughts as they shared their images and edited each other’s art. We will have tips and comments on this collaborative process and highlight some of the images made and describe the work flow. We will also love to have your input and address any questions about the collaborative process. This is a collaborative community: Input, questions, suggestions and ideas to improve our experiences here are encouraged and appreciated!

TheAppWhisperer is growing at a phenomenal rate and trying to include as much unique content and variety from the mobile photography world as our readers can possibly digest, you really don’t need to go anywhere else!

Please join us in welcoming Jaime to TheAppWhisperer family, welcome Jaime…

Joanne Carter, creator of the world’s most popular mobile photography and art website— TheAppWhisperer.com— TheAppWhisperer platform has been a pivotal cyberspace for mobile artists of all abilities to learn about, to explore, to celebrate and to share mobile artworks. Joanne’s compassion, inclusivity, and humility are hallmarks in all that she does, and is particularly evident in the platform she has built.
