Amnesty International UK – Photo Opportunity
An array of celebrities will descend on the Human Rights Action Centre, Amnesty International UK’s headquarters in Shoreditch in east London, from 5.45pm on Wednesday 3 June to mark the building’s 10th anniversary.

Kate Allen, Amnesty’s UK director, said:
“Over the last ten years the Human Rights Action Centre has enabled us to achieve phenomenal change. It’s given Amnesty International UK a platform from which to inspire, educate, train, mobilise, raise awareness, generate media coverage, and reach new audiences in the UK and around the world.”
The evening will showcase a range of performances by creative Amnesty supporters including Jeremy Irons, Juliet Stevenson, Patrick Stewart, Snow Patrol’s Gary Lightbody and Paterson Joseph alongside Amnesty’s Youth Awards winners. The graffiti artist Pure Evil will be producing new artwork with some of Amnesty’s young activists for Amnesty’s Stop Torture campaign.
The event is not open for media, but photographers will be accommodated outside the venue.
The event will be hosted by long-time Amnesty supporter and actor Tim McInnerney and include speeches from Bianca Jagger and Amnesty UK Director Kate Allen
