The Third Annual Mobile Photography Awards (MPA’s) are now open for submissions. The MPA’s offer mobile artists and photographers opportunities for exhibits, open gallery calls, fine art sales and annual cash and prizes of more than $15,000. There are 20 categories available to enter including Still Life, Portraiture, Macro, Black & White, Landscapes, Nature & Wildlife and much more. Camera+ Updated With New Effects Pack and More!
Camera+ has just received another update with a brand new effects pack ‘that includes all the filters that Apple’s standard Camera and Photo apps include (for users on iOS 7)’. The developers have also boosted burst-mode to full resolution on the iPhone 5, 5s and 5c. Well, not many people know, or at least they didn’t until huffingtonpost.com published a feature that Pope Francis has an account on Instagram. It’s been kept low-key to date but the Catholic News Service has reported ‘after a trial run of several months, the Vatican Instagram is set to become one of News.va’s main platforms for social media communication.’ Pope Francis is very popular on Twitter, take a look at @Pontifex and you’ll see that it’s currently sporting 3,062,959 followers.
