Completely different from our Portfolio section, our directory enables each mobile photographer and artist to list their contact details, all social media links, their workshops, courses, images, links to interviews and so much more. Sony World Photography Awards reveal stunning shortlist for 2019 Open and Youth competitions
The World Photography Organisation today reveals the shortlisted photographers for the Open and Youth competitions of the 2019 Sony World Photography Awards, recognising the world’s best single images from 2018. As one of the world’s largest and most prestigious global photography competitions, the Awards annually celebrate and promote the best contemporary photography from the past year across a wide variety of photographic genres. Over 326,000 entries were submitted across the four competitions of the 2019 Awards, the highest ever number to date. Tracey Emin – A Fortnight of Tears – Exclusive Video and Insight
I happily spent this morning/early afternoon with Tracey Emin at a press invitation to her brand new exhibition entitled ‘A Fortnight of Tears‘ at the White Cube, Bermondsey, London, SE1. This is a major exhibition installed throughout the gallery’s spaces, exhibits include sculpture, neon, painting, film, photography and drawing, all focusing on Emin’s own memories and emotions, arising from loss, pathos, anger and love. This exhibition is one to feast upon, throughout the exhibition Emin articulates the joy and suffering that is intrinsic to our human existence.
