#RePicture Competition Open For Entries
Getty Images and iStock have teamed up to create a new international photography competition, #RePicture. The competition aims to challenge how we photograph the world and find ways to subvert stereotypical imagery across the globe. Originally launched at this year’s Cannes Lions festival in France, #RePicture is inspired by the success of Getty Images’ recent partnership with Lean In, an organisation that champions creative opportunities for women. A new exhibition opening in San Francisco next month is gaining momentum. Entitled 100 portraits, 50 photographers, 1 camera, the show is produced in conjunction with The NWBLK. This show is said to feature the work of fifty of the worlds most talented mobile photographers – I am quite sure we could add a lot more to this list. Rumour – New Apple iPads To Be Announced October 21
Well, that’s the rumour and one that we’re really hoping turns true. It’s a pattern that Apple have repeated for the past few years, last October Apple unveiled the iPad Air and iPad Mini with Retina display. This October we’re hoping for new iPad models with possibly the A8 processor that they’ve added to the new iPhone’s, there are also rumours of a new larger iPad Air model expecting to be announced. MIRA 2014 Mobile Photography Exhibition This Weekend!
This weekend is a truly fabulous one to bask in the glory of mobile photography and art. Not only is there the NEM Kansas City 2014 Mobile Photography Exhibition, as mentioned here but also there’s the MIRA Mobile Photography Exhibition in Porto, Portugal, opening 6 September 2014 at 1600 hrs.
