Indifferent West Elliott Gallery September 27, 2025 | January 17, 2026
Indifferent West Elliott Gallery September 27, 2025 | January 17, 2026 Indifferent West is a salient visual investigation into the mythology, commercialisation and environmental disruption of the Western landscape. The exhibition features a selection of Mirer’s meticulously composed, vivid photographs spanning over 30 years, capturing the strange beauty and haunting irony of a landscape defined more by fantasy than fact. Mirer’s forthcoming book of the same title, showcasing 108 photographs, launches in conjunction with the show at Elliott Gallery. Drawn from decades of road trips across the American Southwest, Mirer’s jarring images aim to both play into and subtly disrupt our collective cultural memory of the mythic American Frontier.…

I Still Dream of Lost Vocabularies Autograph October 10, 2025 | March 21, 2026 This major group exhibition examines how photographs can be deconstructed and reassembled through the idea of collage, offering new perspectives on complex histories and contested social realities. Spanning nearly three decades of work, Anthology of Light chronicles Sue Park’s continuous exploration of light and its formal and emotive effects across different genres and subject matters. Shaping the Land Filter Photo July 11, 2025 | August 23, 2025 Filter Photo is pleased to present Shaping the Land, a solo exhibition of work by José Ibarra Rizo. Shaping the Land is part of an ongoing series documenting the Latinx/emigrant experience in the American South. Rather than offering a singular narrative, Shaping the Land invites viewers…

Clare Hewitt: Everything in the forest is the forest
Clare Hewitt: Everything in the forest is the forest In 2019, artist Clare Hewitt read a government report suggesting that loneliness and isolation were increasing in rural areas of the UK. Simultaneously, she was learning that trees communicate, nurture, and thrive in sentient communities. For the past five years, Hewitt has worked at The Birmingham Institute of Forest Research(BIFoR FACE) within a circle of twelve oak trees, which are about 180 years old, and would have been acorns when photography was invented. Setting her artist studio within this circle, Hewitt has repetitively documented the forest and its seasonal changes. She has examined the way trees relate to each other. In…

Unseen Photo Fair Returns to Amsterdam with Fresh Leadership and a New Home
Unseen Photo Fair Returns to Amsterdam with Fresh Leadership and a New Home Five years after its commercial arm collapsed into bankruptcy, Unseen Photo Fair is making a comeback in Amsterdam—this time under new leadership and at a different venue. Launched in 2012 by Foam (the city’s photography museum), Vandejong Creative Agency, and Platform A, Unseen quickly carved out a niche as a dynamic alternative to major photography fairs like Paris Photo and Photo London. Held at a former gasworks in Westerpark, it built a strong reputation for spotlighting rising talent and offering collectors access to fresh, cutting-edge photography. But in early 2020, the fair’s three commercial entities—Unseen International BV,…

Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie en Gaspésie
Rencontres Internationales de la Photographie en Gaspésie 2025 EXHIBITS AND INSTALLATIONS IN THE GASPÉ PASSAGES : The theme selected for our 16th edition Exploring the passage of time, the traces left by encounters, friendship, forgetfulness, and absence. Between memory and motion, this theme questions our relationship to objects, places, others, and fleeting moments. PASSAGES is the transition between what was and what is to come, a space between two worlds where the echoes of the past meet the promises of the future. Like photography, which freezes a moment of reality while leaving room for interpretation and imagination, PASSAGES invites us to capture those thresholds, those invisible in-betweens where the image…

Grenze Festival, Verona, Italy
Grenze Festival, Verona, Italy We like to think that a festival can generate a permanent and recognisable community. We want to believe that the values that determine its identity and distinction can reverse the trajectories of the system in place, fueling good practices and creating new perspectives. We like to think that gratuitousness is the stumbling block and the stretch mark that brings together participants and audience, the public and professionals. Gratuitousness as the branch of relationships, gratuitousness as the horizon of a peripheral utopia, floating but with a global and pure vision. Those who participate in Grenze donate a parallel segment of its history, contemporary to its productive process,…

Catherine Couturier Gallery
Several years ago, Catherine Couturier attended the AIPAD fair, where a collector asked her, “What is your gallery’s speciality?” To which she responded, “Photography.” The collector pressed further, “But what is your specialisation?” With a smile, she replied, “Good photography.” This sentiment encapsulates her vision for Catherine Couturier Gallery: to serve as a bastion of excellence and integrity, dedicated to the medium of photography in all its forms. Her highest goal remains to showcase the finest fine art photography available. Originally known as John Cleary Gallery, the gallery opened its doors in 1996 at its current location on Gallery Row. It quickly established itself as the premier photography gallery in…
