      Gizmodo recently published a large smartphone camera test to try to decifer which smartphone, out of the Samsung Galaxy S4, Sony Xperia Z, HTC One, Nokia Lumia 920 and iPhone 5 is the ‘best’. They tested them in “four common situations, two in daylight and two in a blacked out corner of the office”. Had we carried out this test ourselves in our own lab with our resident camera reviewer, also BJP contributor and DxO optics reviewer, Kevin Carter, it would have been very different.       This could be yet another rumor but it looks pretty close to the real thing this time. Reuters tweeted late last night saying ‘FLASH: Apple suppliers to start production of next-gen iPhone in July, Aug; begin shipping in Sept – sources". Previously we were led to believe that Apple would begin production in September and ship in October. This latest rumor could be more likely though and Apple may only concentrate on software at this years WWDC and leave the hardware for later on in the year when they could push this closer to a Christmas time rush on sales.       The Apple iPad 2 rumors and whispers are seriously gaining momentum. The latest one to surface relates to the home button on the soon to be released iPad 2 and iPhone 5. An unconfirmed report, as you might expect, suggests that Apple will rely more on multitouch gestures to return to the home screen rather than a physical button, according to a report at Boy Genius.
