We are delighted to announce all of the first place Winners and the entire Honourable Mentions of the 11th Annual Mobile Photography Awards, created by Daniel Berman and supported by TheAppWhisperer among others within the Mobile Art World. I recently completed an essay addressing how the visual work of Rosy Martin, informed by psychotherapeutic theory, links personal memory to the construction of self. I will publish it soon but it concludes “notable psychotherapist, Sigmund Freud had two photographs on his desk, one of a patient looking well, hopeful and healthy at the start of therapy and another at the end of their therapy looking dejected, depressed and beaten by life. Freud encouraged his patients to bring him their dreams, one cannot help but ponder, knowing what we now know of phototherapy, whether bringing their photographs would have made this therapy more accessible“. We’re delighted to reveal that the Mobile Photography Awards (MPA) 2016 Results have now been announced. As always we (I speak as a member of the Jury) were succumbed by the wealth of talent displayed across our screens. We’ve had more entries to this competition than ever before and the quality of submissions has been totally outstanding across all the categories.
