iPhone 5 Review For Photographers
Take Better Photos have published this very interesting look at the iPhone 5 from a photographer’s point of view. We were alerted to this post by our linked site, dpreview.com. It offers a very interesting comparison between the iPhone 4S and cameras too, including the Nikon D3, Canon A2200 compact and Panasonic LX 5. It’s a great read and you can find it here.

iPhone 5 Does Have Different Image Sensor To iPhone 4S
Dpreview.com are reporting today the iPhone 5 does indeed have a different image sensor to the iPhone 4S. ”Close examination shows the iPhone 5 is using a 4.1 mm lens to give a 33 mm equivalent field of view, rather than the 4S’s 4.3 mm lens, which gave a 35 mm equivalent view’. They have determined this information by looking at the EXIF data of two images, one of their own taken with the iPhone 4S and the other from Apple taken with the iPhone 5. In tests the iPhone 4S selected ISO 64 whilst the iPhone 5 dropped down to ISO 50, inferring ‘the newer model has a lower…

Nokia 808 PureView Pitched Against Pentax 645D
You may recall we mentioned only hours ago that dpreview had published a six page comprehensive review of the Nokia 808 PureView smartphone. Some of comments from readers reflected their desire to see this device pitched against ‘a real camera’. Well PetaPixel managed to find a Spanish website that has done just that.
