Born in 1967 and raised in New York City; Wolff earned an MFA from the Iowa Writers Workshop in 1993, and in 1997 founded the literary journal Fence. She is the author of The King (W.W. Norton, 2009); Figment (W.W. Norton, 2004); and Manderley (2001), which was selected by Robert Pinsky for the 2000 National Poetry Series. New Projects – Our New Form of Artistic Installation aka ‘The Quilt’ Is Ready!
We’re delighted to inform our readers that the quilt that so many of you contributed to, has now been completed. For those of you not aware of this project, it involved mobile artists contributing one image and each one was then carefully included within a large quilt to be displayed at the next gallery show or even Mobile Arts Festival. There has been a few obstacles along the way and we have overcome each one. This quilt was sewed together and finalised by none other than mobile artist, Lorenka Campos’ mother in law. Instagram TAKEOVER with Elaine Taylor (@sunflowerof21) – Days 4 – 7
Last week we started the second of our brand new format to our Instagram TakeOver’s with Elaine Taylor @sunflowerof21 (our first week was with Clay Benskin – @clay_benskin) and Taylor has also performed this task impeccably. She agreed to publish three of her stunning mobile photography images per day and we have featured days 4 – 7 below. Instagram TAKEOVER with Elaine Taylor (@sunflowerof21) – Day 1
We are delighted to announce the second of our new format of Instagram takeover’s, this time with Elaine Taylor (@sunflowerof21). We started our new format with Clay Benskin (@clay_benskin) last week, after following his highly successful takeover of the NewYorker Photo – @newyorkerphoto. This week Taylor will follow the same format, posting three images per day of her incredible bright and colourful photography, which includes portraiture, still life and landscapes. We are so excited with our brand new takeover of our Instagram account, take a look at what’s been happening over the past couple of days (foreword by Joanne Carter). “Captured by @sunflowerof21 – A week of celebration and recognition, the loveliest of them all in @youmobile, Elaine, is mostly recognised for her fantastic portraiture work of her family, especially her son. Her use of the colours’ palette with mostly matching subtle pastels like soft colours with the impeccable use of light and shadows make her work truly delight to look, here instead of one of her classic I chose flowers, nonetheless the beauty comes out from whatever she photographs!…
