Stephen Fry meets up with Jony Ive and Tim Cook and laments his words to Steve Jobs

2015-05-26 / Comments Off on Stephen Fry meets up with Jony Ive and Tim Cook and laments his words to Steve Jobs

The Telegraph have published an exclusive conversation between Stephen Fry, Jony Ive and Tim Cook. It’s a poignant read and towards the end Fry reveals his regret of speaking out to Steve Jobs. Fry says, “I stood last week at the entrance to 1 Infinite Loop, Cupertino, the coolest address in the universe, remembering the time I had gone inside and managed to annoy Steve Jobs. For me that man was Willy Wonka and every time I went to Cupertino I was Charlie visiting the Chocolate Factory. I don’t mind saying that there was no one alive in the world I admired more and no one I wanted to rile…

The downside is that when they say ‘limited’ they really do mean limited. In fact only one camera will be produced and will likely be auctioned off for charity. However, this…

The Queen Promotes Jony Ive To Sir Jonathan Ive

2011-12-31 / Comments Off on The Queen Promotes Jony Ive To Sir Jonathan Ive

You’ve probably heard by now that Jony Ive, Senior Vice President of Industrial Design at Apple Inc, has received a KBE in the New Year Honors List but what you may not of realised, until now, was that Jony already had a CBE, received in 2006 for services to the design industry. The KBE stands for Knight Commander of the Order of the British Empire. An honor allowing the (male) individual, in this case, to use the title ‘Sir’ before their first name. Arise, Sir Jonathan Ive and many congratulations.
