Iris is definitely one of the most popular apps for iPhone photographers, although many have complained about the resolution issues. As I mentioned in Kimberly Post Rowe’s recent interview, I have discussed this with the developer and he assured me that a new update was coming out shortly and that he was aware of the issues and this update will include fixes as well as bringing resolution support equivalent to what they currently offer in Laminar. Laminar is a very popular app with iPhone photographers and it has just been updated. Check out What’s New below. This is a free update, if you have previously downloaded this app, if not, you can download it here. It retails for $2.99/£1.99/download. What’s New? The new engine introduced in version 1.3 had a couple of issues: a) Crashes while flattening images with multiple layers. b) Issue with masks in the background layer. c) Minor issue with text tool, causing aspect ratios to incorrect.
