New Projects – Our New Form of Artistic Installation aka ‘The Quilt’ Is Ready!
We’re delighted to inform our readers that the quilt that so many of you contributed to, has now been completed. For those of you not aware of this project, it involved mobile artists contributing one image and each one was then carefully included within a large quilt to be displayed at the next gallery show or even Mobile Arts Festival. There has been a few obstacles along the way and we have overcome each one. This quilt was sewed together and finalised by none other than mobile artist, Lorenka Campos’ mother in law. ‘Hungry Ghost’ T-Shirts Grace The Pages Of F2 Freelance Photographer Magazine
We were delighted when Steve Cooper from the Hungry Ghost sent through some sample t-shirts created with wonderful mobile art and from the iPhone photography community. I took several photos of my eldest son, Jake with his girlfriend Katie wearing them and Kevin, my partner (Technical PhotoJournalist) took some too, he was testing the Canon 600EX-RT Speedlight, for F2 Freelance Photographer Magazine. NEM/The Hungry Ghost – ‘Void’ Competition – Reworked!
Last month we published details of the NEM and The Hungry Ghost Facebook group competition. This competition involved artists creating artwork that depicted the term ‘Void’. Sixteen artists’ works were selected and these then went to a public vote. Finally the top three were determined and their t-shirts auctioned off for charity. The charities were to be determined but recently it was annouced that Edyta Lipinska a most talented mobile photographer/artist was experiencing very difficult and expensive health issues. A fundraising appeal on Facebook has been announced to help her and Steve Cooper from The Hungry Ghost has decided to pledge the entire amount to this organisation. We all wish…
