Want A Free PlayBook? Become A BlackBerry Developer

If you’re currently an Android app developer but quickly port your apps to run on the BlackBerry PlayBook, RIM will give you a 16 GB tablet for free.

Alec Saunders, the RIM Developer Executive mentioned the news in a Twiter message yesterday. The downside is that you’ve only got until February 13, 2012 for the Android apps to be optimized for the PlayBook and submitted for listing in the BlackBerry App World store.

RIM does have an app-playing engine that will allow programs that are designed for Android to run on its QNX-based PlayBook.
