Leica and Huawei – Smartphone Photography Partnership

Leica and Chinese Telecom giant Huawei have formed a smartphone photography partnership. That very sentence is quite extraordinary, on the surface Leica and Huawei make strange bedfellows but dig beneath the luscious silk sheets and you will find some stimulating smart moves.

Both Leica and Huawei have a lot to gain by this partnership, Leica want a slice of the smartphone photography pie. Huawei is the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world and in 2015 sold more than 100 million devices.
