Apple wins Cannes Lions Outdoor Top Prize for World Gallery ad Campaign
We’ve all been loving Apple’s World Gallery ad campaign for its iPhone 6. Launched in March 2015, this campaign commonly known as ‘Shot on iPhone 6’ after Apple curated the best images from users work via Flickr and Instagram to display on billboards, posters and creative environments all around the world. The campaign featured 162 users and more than 10,000 installations in 75 cities in 25 countries.
Juan Carlos Ortiz, Creative Chairman at DDB Americas and Jury president for Cannes Lions, declared Apple’s campaign ‘a game changer’.
The campaign, a collaboration of Apple and TBWA/Media Arts Lab, also won five Gold Lions awards for individual ‘Shot on iPhone 6′ posters. See more here.
