Spotify has the highest background activity, using battery for an additional 13.5 hours a month for non-active processes. CapCut drains the battery fastest, with 30% lost per hour of use. Smartphone batteries have decreased in lifespan by 23%, with the average device now requiring daily charging, up from 1.5 days in 2019, partially due to heavy energy drain by applications. Check out our latest post ’10 Apps Secretly Draining Your Phone’s Battery – 2026 Edition. 2025-09-29 / Comments Off on Smile—China’s watching You from 100km up

Eyes in the Sky: New Satellite Could Identify People From Orbit Satellites just got a whole lot scarier Chinese scientists have unveiled what could be the world’s most powerful spy camera, capable of identifying faces from low-Earth orbit. A Tragedy of Infinite Beauty – October 9, 2025 | February 28, 2026 HackelBury presents A Tragedy of Infinite Beauty, a solo exhibition by American artists Doug & Mike Starn. ‍ ‍ “starting with the clarity of high-definition photography, we break it down – zooming in, smoothing, revealing the texture of digital noise – until a simulacrum of perception is presented. A World in Colour” shows around 120 images by the Belgian artist and European pioneer of colour photography. Harry Gruyaert created most of his extensive body of work during his trips to countries such as Egypt, India, Morocco, the US, Russia, Spain or France. With his extraordinary sense for composing colour and space, he captures landscapes and urban scenes, emphasising contrasts: the play of light and shadow in an airport terminal, the intense yellow of an American vintage car, the vibrant colours of Moroccan streets or the muted tones of Belgian…
